I’m really inspired these days, I hope it lasts, and I hope you like what you see! π I’m trying new ways to edit my photos and I’m also exploring different emotions. I’m not going to say which emotion because it’s better if you try to figure it out by yourself, otherwise it will influence your view and that’s not what I want! πBut anyway, I went for a ride today and took tons of photos, so expect a lot of color soon and have a great week! π

What do you think? Let's hear it! :)
The emotion here is fear; what lies ahead that curve?

More road and another curve. And after that one, more road and another curve, again and again. Which makes you feel anxious and uneasy which leads to fear, spot on brotha! π Capa de album, nΓ£o? hehe xD

My feeling is peace and quiet. Feeling the coolness in the air and listening to the birds π

That’s a very interesting interpretation of the photo Dom! π I think it’s really interesting the way a photo, and art in general, can transmit so many different things and emotions, and they’re all valid! Thanks for commenting! π

I fully agree, when doing my Fine Art degree show, which showed everything from huge canvas paintings to photography and sculpture, each interpretation is valid, that is what Art is for. I did not read the artists interpretation as to why they have done it until I have interpreted it myself first.

Yes,…always amazing the different reaction of different folks to the same photo.
Like your photo very much, for me the path, mist and the curve into the unknown are highly symbolic of our unknown road and fate in life..could be good, could be bad..we do not know and it is difficult for us to steer ourselves into what we consider the more desirable route!.

Yes I agree, I think that’s one of the key aspects of Art in general, especially when it’s open for interpretation! π ( i’m not sure if this sentence makes much sense, my english is rubbish today )
But I also like your interpretation, I didn’t think about that! π Amazing, thank you so much!

mysterious … what’s going to happen around the bend, or what will be found?

Thank you! It was very eerie and silent, there were no birds there or any kind of noise, kinda creepy! I didn’t go any further but I can tell you that it’s a good place to ride a dirt bike! π

Ohhhh! Love this one matey!!! I hope your inspiration will last long so we can enjoy more such photos! π I feel that there is something heavy in this image, even though it could be a calm and serene scene, the fog and brightness in the middle make it really unsettling…like something is about to happen…you know what i mean? Maybe now it’s a good time to drink something…hahaha π

Haha thank you so much Alex! π I’m trying to save my inspiration for when a ND filter i bought arrives, it’s been 2 weeks and i’m getting really impatient!!
But yes I understand what you mean, and even in “real” life I felt weird when I was walking around this place, there was no one there and no noise, it was like living inside a painting where nothing makes a sound or moves, really weird! Yes maybe now would be a good time to drink something, preferably something hot because it’s freezing in here! π

Have you seen the film, “La Belle et la Bete” by Jean Cocteau? If you haven’t I hope you do. In the Woods reminds me of the mood in that classic movie.

Hmm I’ve seen The Beauty and the Beast by Disney when I was little but never saw that one! I’ll try to look for it online. I’m really glad my photo reminded you of the film, that’s very interesting! Thank you! π

That’s an interesting point of view! Unfortunately here in Madeira we don’t have a lot of wildlife, you’d probably just see a rabbit π Or if you’re really lucky, maybe a giant spider web! π

Great black and white photography! It is like seeing as in sleep. This seems to represent a time when long forgotten memories resurface. The look and feel is surreal. Thank you for stopping by and liking my latest post.

I just read where you said there were no sounds at all. I actually love those moments for in those are the times I can truly hear God. FEEL it. However you like to perceive of such things. Stillness is good but most people fear and loathe it. They like the chatter and clutter of life’s distractions…..

I don’t mind the stillness and silence, without silence there can be no sound! But it did feel kind of weird being in there all alone, after taking a few photos i turned back as i was getting very far away from the car and it was my first time there! π
You’re right, we hear noise every day all the time, sometimes complete silence feels really good!
