These photos were all taken while I was going on levada walks 🙂
Same place, different day.
Looking back at the exit of the first tunnel…
After the second tunnel…
And, the end of the line! 🙂 Now we’ll need to walk all the way back again! 😀
Stacked rocks…
And let’s keep moving!
We’re very close to…
very close to the end now!
Green! 🙂
Take a look at the mountains and that waterfall!
The entrance again!
Moving…
There it is!
left turn here!
Pitch Black is the entrance to the second tunnel! 🙂
B&W! I love those textures 🙂
Let’s keep going…
The view close to the entrance, we’re pretty high up in the mountains!
These trees are awesome!
You can feel the water running beneath your feet!
The entrance plus a waterfall right in front of it! Cover your cameras, lower your head and run! 🙂
The first tunnel is the shortest of them all! They’re all very narrow and there are 3 in total.
And another waterfall! 🙂
The water looks so dark here!
The most dangerous place of the levada, be careful not to fall!!
A waterfall and the entrance to the 3rd tunnel…
The 3rd and longest tunnel, it’s almost 1 kilometer and it takes an hour or so to finish it!
Now we’ll have to walk under the waterfall.
Another waterfall!
Off we go…
Keep…
The view after the tunnel.
This one is a bit more artistic hehe 🙂
The view!
Let’s…
Getting really close to the 3rd tunnel!
Looking back at the waterfall.
The first tunnel…
walking towards the waterfall…
The beginning of the levada!
The exit! Time to stretch your back!
A levada is an irrigation channel or aqueduct specific to the island of Madeira.
